This location and house was great! It was easy to find and not so far out in the country that driving was a concern. It felt safe and beautiful. The house is interesting in its design and history. The rooms are spacious and spread out in the house. They had a lot of little things that made life easier when you are traveling. Barry was helpful about points out restaurants and other things like parking. This house is nicer than the pictures show. It was nice to sit outside and eat. Susie, the dog, was an excellent greeter. I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.

“We loved the stay at Kilknockan Lodge. We wish we could have stayed longer. The house had everything we needed and Barry and Fran were the best of host. We met Barry upon arrival and he was quick to show us around and make us feel right at home. We had fires each night in the outdoor firepit and Barry checked with us to see if we needed anything. It was great to hear about the area and the history. We will definitely plan to stay with them again if we are back in Adare..."

If you are looking to enjoy a bit of country and true Irish hospitality this the place for you. Adare has so much to offer from great restaurants to traditional thatched roof homes. Outstanding rental for a week for our family of four. Barry could not be a more friendly, helpful host! Location is ideal as a central hub from which to explore western Ireland. It is an hour + to Galway, Dingle, Killarney and Cork. We went out touring every day, and it was such a pleasure to simply return "home" each night. And of course, Adare is incredibly charming on its own. Last, once again, kudos and tremendous thanks to Barry and Fran! We very much hope to return some day, and this is the only call I will make!

We absolutely loved our stay at Kilnockan Lodge. Barry and Fran were amazing hosts, very welcoming but also very respectful of our privacy. The place is immaculate and the grounds were beautifully kept. Our lodge was very comfortable and a perfect size for our family of 4. They had additional homely touches like breakfast items, biscuits to go with your tea and all bathrooms were fully stocked with body wash, shampoo and conditioner. The location was great, only a short 2-3minute drive to Adare, which is a must to visit if you are in the area.

I can’t say enough about this place. It was perfect. The hosts are so kind, and personable. The house was spotless. Extremely homey feeling while away from home. I’ve already told all my friends and family to come here. Beautiful countryside, and Adare is close by. I was traveling with my grandmother, and it was perfect the way the downstairs was setup for her to not have to deal with stairs, and the separation for anyone needing space upstairs. Thank you Barry and Fran for helping this be such a memorable experience. You’re doing everything right!
